You is about Chino moving a step closer to coming to terms with her mother's death. GochiUsa is different from other anime of the CGDCT sub-genre because there's a subtle undercurrent of sadness running through many of the episodes and it's even more apparent in the manga. I've seen plenty memes on popular forums and boards jokingly stating how GochiUsa is too "high IQ" for the average viewer, but they're actually unironically correct.
The story is mostly based on one of the manga chapters published a few years ago, so it really cant be considered an ORIGINAL video animation (OVA).
Sing For You, as the title implies, is an OVA that heavily incorporates the character songs associated with the series.
